With junior year winding down, college application season emerges on the horizon. Rising seniors can get a jump start on their college applications by completing a few tasks now.

Check out this article and its suggestions for rising seniors. Taking care of six simple things now can take a lot of stress off at the beginning of senior year, when work piles up and college application deadlines loom large. Among those six things are requesting a year-end transcript from the school guidance office, which will be necessary to start filling out applications over the summer. Students will also want to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center if they plan to compete in intercollegiate athletics. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, students should ask teachers for letters of recommendation before the end of the school year. That way, students can be sure that the letters are well-written and complete by the time they need to submit their final college applications.
