It's time to look outside the box when it comes to researching colleges. There are some factors that every student should consider as they narrow their college list. Would you be interested to know some out-of-the-ordinary factors?

Freshman retention rate is one of those criteria, and students should be paying particular attention to these numbers so as to predict the likelihood of being happy from day one. Four-year graduation rate is an equally important statistic. Schools with lower four-year graduation rates could end up costing you more than you expect, whereas schools with higher graduation rates are more likely to cost what you project. Campus safety is another factor that every student, male or female, should be thinking about.
