TOP STORY: 5 college tuition hacks that you need to know about NOW

Posted by on 21 November 2017

One of our main goals here at This Week In College Prep is to filter through all the noise out there about college prep, and give you the information that you really need to know. And this week we've got something pretty cool for you.

It's an article that @abigailseldin wrote a couple weeks ago for the Huffington Post, where she gives five great hacks that you can do to save money on college.  We won't be a spoiler...head over to Huffington Post and read the article there.

If you like the article, then you may want to learn more about Abigail...because we think we're going to be seeing more from her in the future. She co-founded a free app called College Abacus, which makes it much easier to compare costs for different colleges.  The app basically makes it easier to run "net price calculators" for multiple schools at one time and — in doing so — brings a whole new level of transparency into the murky world of college tuition.  The app sounds really promising, though we haven't had a chance to check it out yet.  We'll be reviewing College Abacus in the next few weeks, and will let you know what we think.

But in the meantime...go read those hacks! And let us know in the comments you think these ideas would help you save money in college?
