WATCH: YouTube star Bethany Mota asks President Obama about the high cost of college

Last week, YouTube stars Bethany Mota, GloZell Green and Hank Green interviewed President Obama about the top issues facing them and their audiences. The event was live streamed on YouTube and — not surprisingly — the conversation soon turned to the state of college prep in the U.S.

It happened when Bethany Mota asked the President this question:

I'm 19 years old, a lot of my friends are the same age as me, as well as my online audience, and a lot of them are now going to college, or are already in college.  What do you think is the best long term plan for making education as a whole more affordable for students?

You can hear President Obama's response in the video below, around the 28:25 mark.

We'd love to get your thoughts. Do you think President Obama will be able to do anything to lower the cost of college?
